Get Some Candy with Halloween Costumes

By Hetsil Protage

You can make your own Halloween costume or you can purchase one. It all depends on how much time you have. There are a lot of Halloween costumes on the market today that are perfect for trick-or-treating, or Halloween parties. Even if you're a very devoted Halloween fan, though, you probably don't want to spend a lot of money on a costume.

If the Halloween costume is meant for your child, you can choose from a wide array. Most adult costumes also come in smaller sizes for children. This is great if you as mom or dad want to dress up as Mickey Mouse while your child dresses up as Minnie Mouse, for example.

Of course, you can also choose a specific theme that you and your child "match" together with your Halloween costumes. You can both be Disney characters, as stated above, or you can be another famous "partner" couple such as Prince Charming and Cinderella. And of course, these efforts, too, may get you more candy.

If you don't want to get dressed up for Halloween yourself but you still want to help your child do so, look to popular TV to give you some help. You can use the Disney princesses or Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus as ideas, for example.

Sons are even easier to get Halloween costumes for. Boys are very easy to please on the Halloween costume front. Old rags and plenty of fake blood can usually make them happy. My son is more fickle than others and enjoys scaring people so those cheesy plastic suits we wore as children just will not cut it and his Halloween costumes needs even scare me sometimes. Severed heads, rags and zombie hands all became part of his Halloween costume this past season and this year he is looking to become Captain Jack Sparrow which is great since I dress as a pirate for my Renaissance Faire re-enacting.

If you as an adult want an elaborate Halloween costume, you can also look to movie or TV show themes. For example, if you like Star Wars, Darth Vader might be an option. And of course, you always have ghouls, zombies and grim reapers to choose from.

During Halloween, couples also need not fear. Many Halloween costumes for the most lighthearted adults can be fun as well as sexy in anything. These costumes range from the Socket and Plug Halloween costume to the Redneck Trailer Trash and Bertha costume. Halloween costumes are what make Halloween enjoyable. Don't let yourself or your family be left out. Edited by Hetsil Protage - 15343
