By Shoaib Ahsan

If the weight is spread uniformly over the entire body, it is seen as fatty overweight. Also termed as energetic overweight, the condition can have significant harmful effects like cholesterol, gout, stones, hypertension, coronary thrombosis, diabetes, etc. So what causes this condition:-

1. Heredity factor: There is family tendency to stoutness, which is more often the inheritance of the habit of overeating rather than a truly genetic factor.

2. The age factor: When some people eat excessively up to a certain age and the obesity occurs due to poor functioning of the system.

3. Overeating: Being overweight is most often the result of an energy imbalance where energy intake has been greater than the energy use over a period.

4. A stale body: People hate it when it comes to accepting the fact that they don't maintain a healthy lifestyle of having enough exercise and muscle movement. Stale body becomes overweight pretty easily.

5. Emotional and mental factors.
