Quick Diet Loss - Simple Steps To Guarantee Weight Loss

By Keeley Roberts

In this article I hope to convince you that quick diet loss will not be achieved by using quick fix or "fad diets", as they are sometimes known. Yes, we've seen them all usually made popular by a famous celebrity who has survived on carrots for a month. Well what I am about to show you will help you understand these diets do not work in the longterm.

What I am going to describe next is what you need to do to lose weight, why and how it happens.

By the time you have read this article you will have the answer about losing weight effectively and so totally understand why you must never waste your time and energy on quick fix diets.

Right lets get down to basics, yes calories. The key to any successful weight loss plan is burning calories. I know that probably seems rather obvious. Your body will burn a certain amount of calories off even if you didn't move all day.

I know what your thinking well thats just so obvious and how come then if my calories are burnt off everyday why would I put weight on, or not be able to lose any. Well it depends on how many calories "your" body uses a day. This is called the calorie maintenance level.

Remember calorie maintenance level is the most important element of any diet.

Once you know what your calorie maintenance level is you will suddenly be totally in control of your weight loss. Rather like having your own "login" code. I will explain a secret, well I think its just plain obvious but only when you know what it is.

Well basically this is it - if your diet contains the same amount of calories as your maintenance level your weight will stay the same. If you have more calories you will gain weight, and if you reduce your calories, you will lose weight.

Thats it folks, the one simple fact that weight loss is based on. You can forget cabbage soup, baby food diets and other quick diet loss plans. All you need to do is make sure you have a deficit of calories. Burn off more calories than you consume.

You need to subtract 500 calories from your maintenance level in order to start losing weight that will stay off. Don't be tempted to reduce your calories to much as you will feel hungry, weak and irritable, rather like if you were on one of those quick fix diets.

Exercise, yep this is a major part of your weight loss plan. Please remember the human body is designed to store fat in times of famine. So you cut your calories and it thinks aha starvation coming on lets hang onto that here fat. Well you don't want it to do that and exercise will prevent this.

Right, really thats all there is too it, oh and it hasn't cost you anything, nor have you had to resort to the idiotic quick diet loss diets. You will not have to survive on baby food for a week or whatever the latest trend is. Quick diet loss is yours for the taking by taking simple and sensible steps. - 15343
