Colotox Review - Colon Cleanse Reviews

By Peter Wood

Since Colotox seems to becoming more popular (or at least it has been more heavily marketed lately) I figured it was time for me to do a review. The results were less than stellar for Colotox as you'll soon find out. The product seems ok, but where it gets really ugly is when I looked into the company behind Colotox.

In terms of ingredients, Colotox is a pretty run of the mill product. It has the regular colon cleansing (fiber based) ingredients that many others have. I don't why one couldn't expect the product to function as it's supposed to. So the product itself seems fine, it's the business practices that have me worried.

Colotox, like a few other colon cleansing scams, has a very big 'free trial' option on their website. I hoped for the best, and started digging into their terms and conditions. To my dismay (not very surprising unfortunately) they have an autoship described in the fine print that they hope you wont see. If you accept the free trial you only have 14 days to cancel the program before you are charged $38.95 for a month's supply of the product that is being shipped to you. 30 days after your order you begin receiving shipments and charged $44.90 every month thereafter until you cancel. What's sad is that most people won't realize this and will get scammed into the free trial and get hit with a bunch of unnexpected charges 14 days later.

It was even more alerted when I saw their return policy. It appears that you are charged a 15% restocking fee for all returned items. And according to some of the complaint boards on the internet, there have been quite a few that have had a hard time even contacting the company to request a refund.

I always like to check with the Better Business Bureau to get a general picture of the overall business practices of the company. Not surprisingly, the BBB gave the company behind Coltox (Central Coast Nutraceuticals Inc.) an 'F' rating. You may also be interested to know that there is a complaint filed with the Arizona Attorney General's office regarding deceptive sales practices. Ouch.

By now, I don't think that it's any mystery what my overall thoughts are concerning Colotox. The ingredient profile may be ok, but their business practices certainly are not. If you're looking at buying a colon cleanser, you'd be wise to steer clear of Colotox; there are plenty of other reputable companies to buy from. - 15343
